HAUL: The Body Shop

Several months ago I was looking a YouTube video from one of the tabbies that I follow. She did a haul video featuring body butter from The Body Shop. So I decided to find out what all the fuss was about and took a trip to the Galleria and visited The Body Shop. I fell in love with the story and then with the products. I purchased several items and I have to say I was hooked from day one.

So when The Body Shop had their 50% off sale I went a little crazy. I made my purchases online. I purchased some repeat favorites and some new items. When I got my package in the mail, I was impressed with the way the items were shipped and the shipping only took about two days after they were shipped.

I have not used any of the bath products yet because I am currently using another body wash, but I will be reviewing all the products as I use them. I have however used the candle that I bought and I will give my review in another blog post later.

Another reason why I am a fan of The Body Shop is because they use Community Fair Trade ingredients in most of their products. I am all for natural ingredients and helping out the community.

If you have not tried any of the products from The Body Shop, I suggest that you give it a try. I guarantee you will be glad you did.

Lazy Sunday

Today was a lazy Sunday. It was raining, so I just relaxed all day in my room in my bed.

I lit my new candle from The Body Shop and opened up my September issue of Vogue which is really thick this month.

So tell me, how did you spend your Sunday?

I have been hearing so many things about beauty boxes on other bloggers pages and on YouTube videos, and I was curious about them. One day while I was reading a blog post from Zara of, I saw an Ad on her page for Julep Maven and that there was an introductory promotion going on where you get your first box for a penny. I thought to myself that there was some sort of catch to this as is with other offers like this. But to my surprise it was not. I simply went to the website and created an account and a beauty profile. I was only charged a penny for my first box no shipping charge. I was so excited about this deal because the nail polishes are sold for $14.99 by themselves. The box comes with two nail polishes and another treat all for $19.99 a month. In the May box I got the polishes and a hand polish and a nail file. The colors were based off my beauty profile.

So here is a look at what my Julep Maven May box looks like and the goodies that were inside. ENJOY!

Polish on the left is Penelope and the polish on the right is Portia
This is the Glycolic Hand Scrub

I have not used any of these items yet, but I will give a review once I do.
Stay tuned for the Julep Mave June box coming soon.
Until then take care! :)

My First Birchbox: The Gossip Girl Addition

Hey guys! I am so excited about this blog. I got my first Birchbox. Until just a few weeks ago the Birchbox was the US version of the Glossy Box, but the Glossy Box has now come to the US. I will post a blog once I receive mine.

Now on to the Birchbox. My first thought of this beauty box was "Wow!" this box is small. I thought the box was much bigger. The monthly subscription is $10 and you get 6 high end samples. Once you subscribe you will be charged the $10 every month. There is no shipping.

I wasn't particularly head over heels in love with the products I received, this box is the Gossip Girl addition. This months Birchbox has all beauty products and one note card. There is a card included in the box the explains what is inside the box and gives the price if you decided that you like the product and want to purchase the full size. Here are some pictures of what the Birchbox looks like and the items that came inside.

Guys, I am sorry that I don't have any descriptions for each pic. I loaded this post using the Blogger Ap on my Ipad and it sucks so I apologize.
