So check me out, my YouTube channel is the same name as my blog. Please let me know what you think!

I SHOULD BE GRATEFUL, RIGHT?

On my to pick up my husband from the train station last night I was in a car wreck. The other driver hit my car as I was making a left turn. Immediately I was ANGRY!!!!!!! I jumped out the car screaming and hollering and cussing. One of the passengers kept telling me to calm down and I told him that I won't calm down because they just F'd up my ride! At this time we are blocking the intersection so I tell them let's move to a parking lot, while I was moving my car I am watching to make sure that they did not drive off without getting this resolved.  So we park and get out of the car. I find out that the driver can't speak English and his son is the other passenger and has to speak for him. The son immediately says that he was in the back seat and did not see anything, but they will pay for my car. Of course I get even more angry because when he said that I knew that the driver did not have any car insurance. So I tell him if they are going to pay they need to give me the damn money NOW!!!!

Well the driver decided that he can speak enough English to tell me that I was in the wrong and that I needed to call the police, which I took his advance and did. While waiting for the cops I refrain from saying anything else to these people because I wanted to PUNCH SOMEBODY!!!!! Once the cops arrive after waiting what seemed like forever they ask if everyone is okay and ask if have already exchanged information, I told them not yet and the cop asks for our license and insurance. I give my information and the other driver is only able to produce a driver's license but NO INSURANCE!!!! As soon as the cop finds that out she calls for back up. She then runs our plates and license numbers they come back clear. But things get worse for the other driver who TOLD ME TO CALL THE POLICE. He is arrested and taken to jail and his car is towed because the state where I live it is a violation if you are driving an uninsured vehicle. The other drive will not be able to get his car back until he get it insured.
So I am stuck with repairing my car own my own. I can't help but think of the $3K I just spent last month on my car for maintenance. My husband drove the car home and I had to sit in the back seat because my passenger door  will not open, and while I was sitting back there I kept thinking that the wreck could have been worst than what it was. Even though I ragging mad I kept hearing the driver's son ask me if I was okay but I never answered him and I never asked them if they were okay. As I laid in bed last night these thoughts kept going through my head. I should be grateful and praising God that no one got hurt and that I have insurance and just get my car fixed.

How would you have handled the situation?

ZARA! I Never Knew!

OK , so I have been following Shirley B. Enaning on YouTube and her blog meek-n-mild.com and even though she lives in the UK she has opened my eyes to a whole new world of fashion! She shops at a store called ZARA, that is one of her favorite stores to shop in. She has blogged about different fashions that she has purchased from there and how much she paid for them. Well I was so intrigued that I decided to look up the store online and see if it was in the US and it was! I was so excited because I really liked the outfits and bags that she purchased.

Well I decided to visit ZARA and I have to admit that the close were a little high for the budget that I had at the moment but nothing that i wasn't used to. The clothes are very trendy and the bags and accessories are awesome. I wanted to stay in there all day. I did encounter a sales representative that I thought was a little on the rude side, but that may be just the way that he is.

But anyway, I did make two purchases. I purchased a top that was on clearance for $7.99 and I found a bag that was in my budget for $35.90 that was in the Basic Collection. I still have my eye on another bag that cost $79.90 which are in my plans to purchase along with some other items as well. But for now I am very pleased with my purchases. I look forward to visiting ZARA again.

2 Year Nappiversary

March 10, 2012 marked my 2 year nappiversary meaning that I have been natural for 2 years. To me has seemed long than 2 years. I really expected to have more length than I do but I think it has something to do with the fact that I cut my hair twice last year. I got a professional cut where I had the beautician cut all the damage parts of my hair off and it was quit a bit, and then I did a so call trim but messed it up and now one side of my hair is longer than the other. I did straighten my hair this year for my trip to Houston and I left it straight for about two weeks. It did not revert even though I went to Galveston
Beach and I wore it down to dinner two nights in a row. I was pretty happy that I did not have to put any more heat on my hair after straightening it. The only complaint I did have was that I had a lot of shedding. It seemed very unusual but once I washed my hair and started to wear it in it's natural state the shedding stopped.

I am not going to cut or trim my hair for a while just to see how long it gets. I want it passed my shoulders. But another problem that I have is shrinkage. When I saturated my hair with water it shrinks up so tight (it's so annoying). To achieve a full volumous look I have to stretch my hair either with two strand twist or braid outs or blow outs which are all very time consuming just to get it stretched out, but whatever it is what it is.

This is the result of a braid/twist out. I actually did a blow out and my hair shrank right up!
